Such an insanely sad day. Still even seems surreal. I remember watching him moonwalk and think it was the coolest thing ever. I remember watching Thriller and being scared and awed at the same time.

His music formed most of my childhood years as it happened. My brother and I made up a dance to Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' when it came out. It involved chairs and wasn't pretty. MJ will be missed.

Also, I just read something today that said he had special shoes made in order to do that leaning forward thing and that he patented it. Genius!

But I'll also always remember the cringing at those interviews and accusations. I think there was an Oprah special back in the day, maybe a 20/20 special, too...

I was in 2nd or 3rd grade when I saw the moonwalk for the first time. It was magical. Then we gathered around to watch the premiere of Thriller. He really was an amazing entertainer! I wish he could have made a comeback before leaving us so soon. So sad!

I think it's great that you paid tribute to Michael Jackson. I did the same in my blog today, because I was brought up listening to his music, and it was such a shock to hear the awful news. He will be missed by millions the world over.

I completely understand. I still have his Moonwalk movie on VHS and Thriller. I knew the Thriller dance! I have been crying so much it's just heart wrenching. I just got done writing about this on my own site too. He is loved by the entire world and will be missed dearly.

hey, I remember when he lived in Baldwin Hills!.. I know u may know where that is... He was super young and he tried pickin up on my gf... we were junior high age and he threw her a line and she shouted back " you're just a baby'... I also remember when they opened for Elvis at the Hilton... I was around 15 and that was 39 yrs. ago...
